ClamAV® (GPL-2.0-only) kann optional zur Virenprüfung genutzt werden. nextxch kommuniziert mit einem unabhängig installierten clamd-Dienst über dessen dokumentiertes Netzwerkprotokoll; ClamAV-Code wird weder eingebunden noch verbreitet.
