1. No statutory right of withdrawal
Paid licenses are sold exclusively to businesses (B2B). The statutory right of withdrawal for consumers under Sections 312g, 355 BGB therefore does not apply. The Free tier is free of charge; refunds do not apply to it. This policy describes the voluntary rules we apply in addition.
2. Try before you buy
Every customer can request a free Enterprise trial before purchasing and test nextxch for 30 days with the full feature set, including ActiveSync, EWS, MAPI over HTTP and Autodiscover. The request is made via the request form or from the admin cockpit of the software (licence page). After the request the Customer receives the trial key by email together with the separate license agreement for the Microsoft protocols and pastes it into the admin cockpit. Free can be used permanently at no cost without any request. We therefore expect a purchase decision to be made on an informed basis.
3. Goodwill refund within 14 days
If a purchased license key has not yet been activated on any installation, we refund the license fee in full on request within 14 days of purchase. Requests must be sent from the purchasing account's email address to support@nextxch.com stating the order number. Once a key has been activated, refunds are only granted in the cases set out in the warranty provisions or at our discretion.
4. Cancelling a subscription
Annual subscriptions can be cancelled at any time with 30 days' notice to the end of the current term by email. The license remains valid until the end of the paid term; afterwards the installation falls back to Free without data loss. There is no pro-rata refund for the remaining term, unless the cancellation results from a material defect we failed to remedy.
5. Upgrades & downgrades
Additional mailboxes can be added at any time and are charged pro rata for the remaining term. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal date.
6. Processing of refunds
Refunds are made via the original payment method (Stripe) or by bank transfer within 14 days of approval. A credit note including VAT correction is issued. Refunded license keys are revoked; the consequences of a revocation under Section 7 of the EULA apply. Data is retained.
